Frequently asked questions about SupplyChain.Careers

No small print, no vague promises. Below you’ll find straight answers to the questions employers and candidates ask us most — about permanent recruitmentinterim management and supply chain consultancy.

Can’t find what you’re looking for? Just ask us directly — we’ll get back to you quickly and without waffle. Or take a moment to read about who we are and meet the team first.

Permanent recruitment

Permanent recruitment in supply chain means finding the right person for a full-time role in procurement, logistics, operations, planning, or warehousing. We handle the full process — market mapping, candidate outreach, shortlisting, and offer management — so you only need to make the final call.

We’re not looking for just anyone. We’re looking for someone who fits — your team, your pace, your reality. Browse our active vacancies to get a feel for the profiles we work with every day.

With no cure no pay, you only pay when the candidate actually starts. No placement, no invoice. Simple as that.

With retained recruitment, you agree on a partial fee upfront in exchange for an exclusive, priority mandate. More resources, a clear timeline, regular reporting. We recommend this for senior profiles (director level and above), scarce specialists, or confidential searches where thoroughness matters more than speed.

Not sure which fits your situation? We’re happy to walk you through it — no strings attached.

Our fee is a percentage of the candidate’s gross annual base salary. The exact rate depends on the seniority of the role and the model you choose. We put this in writing before we start — no hidden charges, no admin fees, no invoice without a confirmed placement.

Clear agreements make good partnerships. Use the client zone to configure and request a tailored proposal online.

We offer a replacement guarantee on all permanent placements. If the candidate leaves or is let go during the agreed guarantee period, we run a full replacement search at no extra cost. That period is written into the contract before we begin — not buried in the small print afterwards.

Interim management

Supply chain interim management means bringing in an experienced, independent professional for a fixed period — to cover a gap, lead a transformation, or deliver a specific project. No lengthy onboarding, no months of settling in. They arrive, they understand, they get moving.

The right moment: a restructuring, a director-level maternity cover, an ERP implementation, a merger integration, or a sudden operational crisis. Unsure whether interim or permanent is the better call? Our team can help you think it through.

You pay an agreed day rate for the days actually worked. No fixed project price, no surprises at the end of the month. Each invoice shows exactly which days are billed — nothing more, nothing less.

We handle the contract, compliance, and invoicing between you and the interim professional. One point of contact. No transfers, no confusion. Everything accessible through the client zone.

For most assignments, we can present a qualified shortlist within two to four working days. Many profiles in our network are available to start within one to two weeks.

For niche or very senior profiles, we give you a realistic timeline upfront — a promise kept beats a promise made quickly. Tell us what you need and we’ll give you an honest picture straight away.

Consultancy

In our consultancy model, the consultant is employed by SupplyChain.Careers and deployed to your project. You get supply chain expertise — network design, S&OP, procurement strategy, warehouse operations — without adding to your permanent headcount.

We take on all employer obligations: HR, compliance, everything. It’s the right fit for project-based work where you want a managed, accountable result rather than a loose freelance arrangement. Read more about how we work.

An interim manager is a self-employed professional who invoices through us. A consultant is a SupplyChain.Careers employee we second to your project. The day-to-day result looks very similar, but the legal structure, compliance responsibilities, and commercial terms differ.

We’ll advise you on which model fits best — no sales pitch involved. Ask us and we’ll be straight with you.

Working with SupplyChain.Careers

No. With no cure no pay, there’s no commitment until a placement is made. For retained search, interim, and consultancy, we work per assignment. You’re not tied to anything.

Unless you want to be — a framework agreement can make sense for volume hiring or preferred supplier arrangements. But that’s your call, not our condition. Explore the options in the client zone.

We focus exclusively on end-to-end supply chain: procurement, strategic sourcing, logistics, warehousing, supply chain planning (S&OP, demand planning, inventory management), and operations management.

We work across manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, FMCG, 3PL/4PL logistics providers, and other supply chain-intensive sectors in the Benelux and internationally. That focus means we know the market, the profiles, and the right questions to ask. More about our specialisation or view our vacancies.

Your supply chain job search

We work entirely free of charge for candidates. We discuss your profile, your ambitions, and what you’re looking for in your next step in supply chain, logistics, or procurement. We then match you with the most relevant vacancies — including unpublished positions from our network.

You get honest feedback, a clear view of the supply chain job market, and guidance all the way to the contract. Send us your CV or browse our open vacancies.

We support profiles from junior to C-level across end-to-end supply chain:

Absolutely. The most interesting career moves often start with an informal conversation. You don’t need to be actively looking to talk to us.

We keep your profile in our network and only reach out when there is a genuinely relevant opportunity — at the right moment, not just to fill a call quota. Get in touch discreetly.

We start with an intake conversation — in person in Antwerp or via video call. We discuss your competencies, experience, ambitions, preferred sectors, and salary expectations.

We then search actively — not just at companies that are already recruiting, but also at organisations that don’t yet know they need you. We introduce you to relevant employers, guide you through the interviews, and support you through the negotiations. From the first conversation to the signed contract. Meet our team.

Over the past three months, we placed candidates on average within three weeks of the first meeting.

For niche roles or if you have specific requirements, it may take longer — and we’ll tell you that honestly upfront. No inflated optimism, no empty promises. Get in touch and we’ll give you a realistic estimate for your profile straight away.

Yes — and that’s exactly where we make the difference. A large share of the best supply chain roles in Belgium are never published on job boards. They’re filled through the right network, at the right moment.

Thanks to our daily contact with supply chain managers, HR directors, and business owners across the Benelux, we have access to that hidden market. Registering with us opens the door to that network. Let us get to know your profile.

As a freelancer or consultant

As a freelance or interim professional (self-employed), you invoice through SupplyChain.Careers. We find the assignments, manage the contract with the client, and handle all the administration. You focus on the supply chain work itself.

We work with independent consultants and interim managers in procurement, logistics, operations, planning, and supply chain management. Get in touch and we’ll walk you through how it works.

Yes. If you’d rather work as a salaried employee while being deployed on projects at different supply chain clients, our consultancy model is exactly that. You’re on our payroll, we handle the assignments, project management, and administration.

Ideal if you enjoy variety — today at a retailer, tomorrow at a 3PL or a manufacturing company. Contact us for more details. Or get to know our team.

Practical

We are active across Belgium, with a strong focus on Antwerp and the surrounding area (Port of Antwerp, Kempen), Brussels, Ghent, and the Flemish logistics heartland. We also regularly place candidates in Wallonia and work for multinational clients across the broader Benelux.

Your location is no barrier to a good conversation. Get in touch and we’ll see together what’s possible.

Yes. Know someone who would be a great fit for one of our open vacancies, or who’s looking for a new challenge in supply chain? Refer them to us and receive €250 in gift vouchers once your contact is successfully placed.

Simple, honest, and no hassle. Send us a message with the name of the person you’re recommending.

Yes. We also support entry-level and junior profiles — a recent graduate in logistics, a planner with a first experience, or someone making the switch from a related sector into supply chain.

We don’t only look at what you’ve already done — we look at what you want to do and where you can grow. That’s at least as important. Browse our vacancies or get in touch for an honest conversation.
